Director, Principal [Provisional] Psychologist
This business is not currently active, but will be active once registration is gained. Thank you for your patience.

Hello, I am Amie.
First, thank you for your interest in my practice. I created The Psych Canvas as a safe and supportive space for healing—because I understand how deeply mental health challenges can affect your life. I also know that long-term emotional struggles can make it difficult to live with the ease and fulfillment we all deserve.
I genuinely appreciate you considering The Psych Canvas to support you on your mental health journey. I’m committed to working collaboratively with you, and I truly value feedback along the way. Please know it’s always okay to share your experience with me—your input helps shape a service that’s better tailored to your needs.
How I can help:
I support individuals through a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. My approach involves gaining a deep understanding of your experiences so we can work together to create meaningful change—or at the very least, make things feel more manageable.
I have particular experience working with:
Fees:
Standard sessions are priced at $200 each. A full breakdown of services and fees can be found on the Services page.
I’m mindful of the financial barriers therapy can present—especially for our most vulnerable communities—and I aim to make sessions as accessible as possible within my practice.
Rebates:
Rebates are not currently available, but I’m actively exploring options to offer this in the future. I appreciate your understanding and patience as I work on expanding accessibility.
My professional commitments outside of The Psych Canvas:
In addition to running The Psych Canvas, I work as a school counsellor, supporting both primary and high school students. Before this role, I spent several years as a high school teacher. With over 14 years in the school system, I’m highly experienced and confident in working with children and adolescents.
What I am currently reading:
I am currently reading Behave by Robert Sapolsky. This is a great book that breaks down human behaviour at our worst and best. It is taking me awhile to get through, due to study, but I am definitely persisting.
A bit more about me:
When I’m not working or studying, you’ll likely find me rock climbing (indoors and out), traveling (Greece has been a favorite so far), or cooking. I actually completed my chef’s apprenticeship back in 2006—though these days, cooking is just something I enjoy doing for fun.
